All About Mrs. Rivera
Hi,
My name is Sandy Rivera, I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year. Before settling in the Johns Creek area, my family and I had the opportunity to move six times, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Arkansas, and Florida. We have been here for over 20 years and are so happy to call Georgia 'home'. My husband and I were both raised in the north, New York and Ohio, so we really appreciate the weather in the south!
I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. My husband, Bob, graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Business Administration.
We have 2 girls that are both married to wonderful men. My girls spent some of their elementary school years at Dolvin Elementary School and they both graduated from Chattahoochee High School, and then from Auburn University. We were blessed with our first grandchild this year, a little boy named Wesley. It is so much fun being a grandmother!
I have been a teacher in the Fulton County Schools for about 18 years and feel so blessed to be a part of this community.
I am very excited to work all of you and your children. We are going to have a great year!
